Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate are to unload containers; restock pallets, general cleaning, and other non-forklift duties. As with all positions at Tree of Life Canada we expect that all actions will be consistent with Tree of Life Canada’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Essential Functions
- Unload Containers
- Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food)
- Periodic Picker duties are required
- Cleaning Duties are required
- Repack in product ion build area as required
- Other duties and special projects as requested
- Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
- Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision
- Correctly inspect and maintain power equipment (if required)
- Must maintain good attendance
- Maintain safe work practices
- Maintain safeguards of confidential company information
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
- A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse atmosphere, including receiving, pulling orders, packing and shipping preferred.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb.
- While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions.
The base compensation for this role is $22.73
