Location: Luton

Salary: £20.00 - £24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Overtime available

 

Personnel Link Employment Group are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established bespoke exhibition company, for an experienced Carpenter / Bench Joiner to join their growing workshop team in Luton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter, Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker, Wood Machinist or Exhibition Carpenter looking to work on high-quality bespoke projects. Previous exhibition stand experience would be an advantage but is not essential. The key requirement is someone who can hit the ground running and produce high-quality work from day one.

 

About the Role

You will be manufacturing and assembling bespoke exhibition stands and display products, working with a variety of premium materials, including solid oak and laminated finishes. Every project is different, making this a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys precision craftsmanship.

 

What You'll Do

• Manufacture bespoke exhibition stands and display units

• Work confidently with solid oak, laminates and other timber materials

• Read and interpret technical drawings

• Assemble and finish products to a high standard

• Use a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely

• Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines

• Maintain a clean and organised work area

• Support installation preparation where required

 

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker, Shopfitter or similar woodworking role

• Strong experience working with solid oak and laminating

• Ability to produce high-quality bespoke joinery

• Confident reading and working from technical drawings

• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• Exhibition stand manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential

• Able to work independently and hit the ground running

This role would suit experienced Bench Joiners, Carpenters, Cabinet Makers, Shopfitters, Furniture Makers or Exhibition Carpenters looking for a hands-on workshop role creating bespoke products. Candidates from high-end joinery, shopfitting, furniture manufacturing or bespoke interiors will also have highly transferable skills.
