The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. As a Front Desk Agent at Flamingo Resort & Spa, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests. You play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out experiences, and assisting guests with their needs throughout their stay. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression of Flamingo Resort & Spa.
- Perform accurate and efficient guest check-ins and check-outs in accordance with brand and property standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed.
- Process room assignments, payments, billing adjustments, and cash handling with accuracy.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, promotions, and local attractions.
- Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to support guest satisfaction.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy levels, and special guest requests, including VIPs and groups.
- Enroll guests in Hilton Honors programs and promote brand initiatives as assigned.
- Follow all Flamingo Resort & Spa policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and code of conduct.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area at all times.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience required; hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (such as OnQ) preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality education a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
