AWS IAM Architect

Our client is seeking an experienced AWS IAM Architect to design, implement, and optimize complex identity and access management solutions across multi-account AWS environments. This role requires deep expertise in IAM policy design, cross-account strategies, and the ability to provide architectural guidance to development and infrastructure teams.

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex IAM policies and role structures across multiple AWS accounts
• Establish and secure IAM mechanisms for cross-account access while maintaining security and scalability
• Architect enterprise-grade IAM solutions that balance security, manageability, and operational efficiency
• Analyze CloudTrail and access logs to identify root causes of IAM issues and proactively address security gaps
• Diagnose and resolve IAM-related incidents efficiently, minimizing business impact
• Provide actionable IAM guidance and solutions to developers, architects, and stakeholders
• Create comprehensive technical documentation for IAM designs, procedures, and best practices
• Lead architectural discussions and mentor teams on IAM strategy and implementation

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and IAM architecture
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS IAM policies, roles, and permission structures
• Proven experience designing and implementing multi-account IAM strategies and cross-account communication patterns
• Strong proficiency in CloudTrail and access log analysis for troubleshooting and security audits
• Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable IAM solutions
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
• Leadership capability and experience guiding technical teams on complex IAM topics
