Business Insights Analyst

Responsibilities

Must be available to work onsite in the Rosemont office Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays. 

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Power BI solutions for our customers and internal users.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis and deliver actionable insights that support strategic, growth and leadership initiatives
• Obtain and integrate data from new and existing sources to help expand the scope of our analyses and resulting insights
• Use state-of-the-art technology and programming tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, SSMS and Git
• Collaborate on and roll-out of internal solutions focusing on automation and self-service
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear data and report specifications
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 to 2 years of experience in BI or Data Analytics role or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with at least 4 to 5 plus years of experience in BI or Data Analytics
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as, Cognos and Power BI and Business Objects.
• Experience creating data models, working with Data Warehouse/Data Lake, creating ETL pipelines
• Demonstrated capabilities in building reporting solutions to meet business needs.
• Business requirement elicitation influencing decisions to drive change and modernization.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree
• Experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or Data Analyst.
• Experience within the distribution/supply chain or food service industry.
• Familiarity with data science concepts like machine learning and forecasting models with an ability to explain them to non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating moderately complex to advanced SQL queries to explore data.
• Experience with the following tools and technologies – Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Power BI
