Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Steel Erectors for projects located in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Erect and install structural steel stairs handrails and miscellaneous metals
- Bolt weld align and secure steel components according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and layout plans
- Safely operate hand and power tools commonly used in ironwork
- Work at heights while following all osha and jobsite safety requirements
- Assist with rigging material handling and equipment setup as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- 2+ years of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, commercial construction, or related experience
- Experience installing structural steel, stairs, handrails, or similar metal components preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor construction environments
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
- Must have your own basic hand tools and required PPE
