Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery in a manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring that production runs smoothly, monitoring equipment performance, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Pay:
$17/hr + shift premium
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Prepare and set up machinery according to specifications and production requirements.
- Operation: Operate machinery and equipment efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitoring: Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any maintenance performed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with different types of machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise and machinery.
