Description
GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is adding an Engineer I to join our growing team in the southwest. The Engineer I supports the analysis, design, and technical documentation of mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, and related civil, environmental, and water resources projects. This position applies engineering principles to assigned technical tasks and works collaboratively with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical, technically sound engineering solutions while continuing to build technical expertise and project experience.
What will I be doing?
- Perform engineering analyses and design activities related to stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, earthwork, landform stabilization, and related projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, design plans, and supporting documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Develop engineering design concepts and collaborate with CAD staff to prepare and review engineering drawings and plans.
- Analyze technical data, including topographic, geotechnical, hydrologic, and soil conditions, to support project design and engineering solutions.
- Identify technical challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and communicate recommendations to project teams.
- Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection, and construction observations as needed.
- Support project planning and development activities, including preparation of scopes, estimates, proposals, and technical documentation.
What qualifications are required for this role?
- A bachelor's degree and/or a master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; professional engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire, preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
- Previous experience with mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, water resources, or related civil/environmental engineering projects preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working experience with AutoCad Civil 3D.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $83,000 annually.
