As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be accountable for overseeing manufacturing operations at our Simpsonville, SC location. You will lead efforts to produce high-quality products efficiently while driving safety, quality improvement, and operational excellence. This role is critical to ensuring alignment with business strategies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


This role is onsite in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure timely production of quality products at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements.
  • Deploy manufacturing policies aligned with the site’s business strategy and annual operating plan.
  • Execute daily Lean management systems, including tiered accountability meetings, visual management systems, and leader standard work.
  • Drive accountability to daily results and implement rapid corrective actions to address operational challenges.
  • Oversee training and development of approximately 200 direct and indirect reports to meet business needs.
  • Champion safety initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and CORE programs across all manufacturing areas.
  • Standardize best practices through tools such as job instructions, job breakdown sheets, pre- and post-flight checklists, multi-cycle analysis, and layered audits.
  • Foster a strong problem-solving culture using CORE methods and coaching behaviors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of manufacturing transactions in the Epicor ERP system to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with planning and logistics teams to optimize scheduling and materials flow, reduce work-in-progress inventory, and improve delivery performance.
  • Travel up to 25%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • 4+ years of prior leadership experience in manufacturing or operations.
  • 2+ years of experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
  • Experience in utilizing ERP systems for manufacturing transactions and data accuracy.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Experience in manufacturing within AS9100-controlled environments.
  • Background in wire harness manufacturing, including IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC J-Std-001 certifications.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
