Plastics Extrusion Grinder

Description

The Plastics Extrusion Grinder operates a variety of machines used to granulate plastics. Works from specific verbal and written supervision with close supervision.  

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grind scrap material
• Clean granulating machine as required
• Ensures materials are not contaminated while grinding
• Weigh, label, stock, and record regrind material in raw inventory area
• Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using forklifts and hand tool
• Remove and dispose of scrap material as directed
• Maintain and clean work area
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday:

• 1st Shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - $ 75 cents shift differential
• 3rd Shift 10:30 pm to 7:00 am -  $ 1.25 shift differential

Requirements

Must be able to stand on concrete floor for 8 hour shift

Must be able to work in cold and hot environment

Heavy lifting 

Walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs

Must be able to use close vision to operator saws and drills

Must be able to read, write and perform basic math

Self motivated, energetic with the ability to think outside the norm

Ability to multi-task

Strong attention to detail
