Overview

We are seeking a passionate and guest focused Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you assist the Restaurant Manager with training and development of staff and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, managing staff, and ensuring excellent service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry, with exceptional leadership skills and a customer-focused approach. The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center’s name reflects the contributions of the extraordinary entrepreneur, Andrew Higgins, who designed and built over 20,000 boats in New Orleans that were used in every major amphibious assault of World War II.

Conveniently located directly across the street from The National WWII Museum, the hotel offers 230 era-inspired guest rooms and specialty suites, premium amenities, full-service restaurant, lounge, and a rooftop bar, as well as a second-floor conference center with more than 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Responsiblities

• Assist Restaurant Manager with training and development of staff 
• Greet and seat guests
• Use proper cash handling and accounting procedures
• Communicate with Manager on all matters relating to the Restaurant
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training
• Resolve employee and guest-related problems
• Attend required meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a host, server, or cashier; supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management and cost control
• Excellent problem solving skills & ability to multi-task
• Prior cash handling & experience with MICROS POS system
• TIPS, CPR & Serve Safe certification required; must obtain within 30 days
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Proficient in MS Office and POS systems
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
