JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position Summary: Sanitation Labor 0002 - Goodlettsville

 

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday 11:30p-7am

 

Pay: $21.85/HR

 

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned production equipment, machinery, and processing areas according to established company and USDA standards. The position performs required cleaning procedures while following applicable food safety and workplace safety requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Remove product, materials, and debris from assigned production areas.
• Perform a thorough pre-rinse of assigned equipment and areas, working from top to bottom.
• Apply approved cleaning chemicals and soaps to equipment and machinery according to established procedures.
• Perform a thorough final rinse of equipment and assigned areas.
• Inspect cleaned areas for deficiencies and complete necessary corrections.
• Clean and sanitize production processing areas according to established company and USDA standards.
• Follow required Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing assigned work.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment and safety equipment.
• Follow established sanitation, food safety, and company safety procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed to support sanitation operations.
• Must be willing and able to work with approved cleaning chemicals and soaps.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required.

 

Work Environment

• Production and sanitation environment.
• Exposure to wet conditions, cleaning chemicals, production equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Required personal protective equipment must be worn as applicable to the assigned work.

 

Physical Requirements

• Must be willing and able to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
• Must be willing and able to perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be willing and able to reach high and low areas while cleaning.
• Must be willing and able to climb steps, stairs, or ladders as required.
• Must be willing and able to work in wet conditions and varying temperatures.
• Must be willing and able to work around and use approved cleaning chemicals.
• Must be willing and able to use cleaning equipment, including high-pressure water systems where required.
