Description
Step behind the espresso bar at a bustling sports complex location where energy runs high and great coffee keeps the day moving. As a barista working mornings and mid-afternoons, you are the friendly face that greets early risers, athletes, families, and fans, turning a quick stop into a bright spot in someone's day.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on pace and connection. You will craft handcrafted drinks, pull shots, steam milk, and blend signature beverages while keeping speed and quality in balance. Because the sports complex draws steady foot traffic during game times and practice schedules, you will play a key part in delivering a consistently warm, efficient experience that keeps guests coming back.
What You'll Do
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, blended beverages, teas, and seasonal specialties to recipe and presentation standards.
- Greet every guest with genuine enthusiasm and remember regulars whenever you can.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, handle transactions accurately, and manage a cash drawer.
- Keep the drive-thru and service areas moving quickly during morning and mid-afternoon rushes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, including equipment, counters, and dining areas.
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate needs to the team.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times.
- Support teammates during peak periods and contribute to a positive, collaborative shift.
Who We're Looking For
We want someone dependable, upbeat, and quick on their feet. The best candidates genuinely enjoy people and take pride in getting every order right. Morning and mid-afternoon availability is essential, so punctuality and a consistent schedule matter.
- Reliable availability for morning and mid-afternoon shifts, including weekends when the complex is busiest.
- Strong communication skills and a welcoming, service-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and lift supplies as needed.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent multitasking.
- Attention to detail with recipes, cleanliness, and accuracy.
- Previous barista, food service, or customer service experience is a plus, though we are glad to train motivated learners.
Why This Position
Few shifts are routine at a sports complex. You will meet new people every day, build real relationships with regulars, and sharpen skills that serve you well anywhere hospitality is valued. If you want work that keeps you engaged and lets your personality shine, this is a strong fit.
