What You'll Do
As a Lead Teacher, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
You'll:
- Lead daily classroom activities and age-appropriate instruction
- Implement engaging lesson plans and learning activities
- Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Build strong relationships with children and their families
- Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and management
- Observe and document children's development and progress
- Complete required child progress reports and classroom documentation
- Establish consistent classroom routines and expectations
- Respond to children's individual needs with patience and empathy
- Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom
- Work collaboratively with your teaching team and school leadership
- Implement COA's Mind and Body Matters curriculum
- Follow all health, safety, and state licensing requirements
What We're Looking For
We're looking for positive, dependable, and passionate educators who enjoy making a difference in the lives of young children.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Required Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework/credits
- At least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting
- CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain as required
- Must meet applicable state childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, and coworkers
- Ability to adapt to changing classroom needs
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and education

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and/or additional benefits.
