As an Unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while following Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports of activities, incidents, and unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect utility operations, including unsecured gates, damaged fencing, suspicious activity, and environmental hazards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
