The Role + Purpose:
As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and recruiting top talent across various retail functions. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will own a portfolio of searches within our product organization, spanning Design, Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, and Sourcing across J.Crew, Madewell, and J.Crew Factory. Using your network, your instinct for potential, and your understanding of how product teams work you will help build diverse teams that reflect our values and bring fresh perspectives to our organization.
- Talent Sourcing and Attraction: Lead full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of roles across product teams, managing multiple searches simultaneously from initial intake through offer. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify exceptional talent within the retail industry, leveraging online platforms, networking events, industry associations, and other creative channels.
- Candidate Engagement and Experience: Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience through clear communication and consistent follow-through to create an interview process that attracts, engages, and retains top-tier talent.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, industry professionals, and retail communities to create a diverse talent network and pipeline.
- Collaborative Partnership: Collaborate closely with hiring managers, HR partners, and department heads to deeply understand talent needs, provide insights, and develop effective recruitment strategies tailored to specific roles and business objectives.
- Cultural Add and Diversity Champion: Promote and advocate for diversity and inclusion in every aspect of the recruitment process, ensuring a holistic evaluation of candidates’ potential and their contribution to our organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 4+ years of proven experience managing full-cycle recruiting independently across multiple roles and functions, preferably within fashion, OR 3+ years of hands-on experience in design, merchandising, planning & allocation, or sourcing, with exposure to hiring (interviewing, mentoring, building or developing teams) and a strong interest in transitioning into recruiting.
- Passion for the retail industry and a keen understanding of its unique talent requirements, trends, and challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, inspire, and influence candidates and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in utilizing recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, social media platforms, and other sourcing channels to identify and engage exceptional candidates.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative team player, with the ability to establish strong partnerships and work effectively across various departments.
Preferred:
- Direct experience in design, merchandising, planning & allocation, or sourcing at a retail or apparel company.
- Experience recruiting for product-focused roles within the apparel and fashion industry.
- Creative and visionary mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative recruitment strategies that resonate with top talent.

Salary Range: $80,800.00 - $100,400.00At J.Crew Group (JCG) we aim to pay competitively for our company’s size and industry. The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
