As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.74 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage files, and utilize communication tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to the Allied Universal team and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
