Job Description:

Airbus is looking for a Facilities Department Coordinator to join our Site Facilities team based in Mobile, AL.


In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing third party service providers for site services (soft). Ensure coordination and reporting of facilities subcontracted maintenance contract(s) activities and such for soft service providers such as janitorial, food service, pest control, tenant improvement buildouts, etc.


Your Working Environment:

In Mobile AL, on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your Challenges:

Day to day facility operations:     40%

  • Manage the operational day to day facility responsibilities for the FAL including subcontractor coordination with focus on several key buildings. Ensuring adherence of regulations of all local and federal laws with respect to the operation of the FAL. 
  • Manages vendors on a daily basis; identifies training and tracks performance to KPI’s, effectively communicates with stakeholders in timely manner.
  • Event Coordination with AV/Sound equipment setup.
  • Review, approve and process invoicing for related activities
  • Service Now Ticket updates - Onboarding and Offboarding of AIRBUS Personnel
  • Central Receiver - GR processor for the department.
  • Provide support by creating, tracking service orders in Click and Buy.

Subcontractor coordination:     30%

  • Coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent impact to Mfg. Operations and minimize impact to end users.

Analyze and improve service delivery:     25%

  • Recommend and manage initiatives to increase and improve service delivery considering both cost and quality - KPI Management 
  • Development and tracking of corrective action plans regarding service delivery

Other duties as assigned: 5%

  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews within contract guidelines with proper points of contact.
  • Coordinate all activities with entire FM team.
  • Other duties as directed by Sr. Facilities Manager.

Your Boarding Pass:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years Facilities Management progressive experience required (or other substitutable experience) with 3-5 years in leadership roles
  • Working knowledge and application of OSHA, ISO, NFPA, ANSI and ADA standards required.
  • Authorized to Work in the US without need of visa sponsorship
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Invoice processing experience
  • Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, best practices and technology
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to develop strategic solutions
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Written, presentation and oral communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, as well as effective result-oriented problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of all building systems, CMM
  • Experience with office productivity tools

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • CMRP, CFM certification
  • General knowledge of FAA, EASA and ICAO standards
  • Knowledge/ experience of project management practices preferred
  • Google Workspace preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite 100%
  • Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: Daily able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: Daily able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: Daily able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: Several times a week able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Travel: Rarely able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
