Job Description Summary

The Lean & Operational Excellence Leader will serve as a strategic driver of site performance, responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation. You will provide high-level leadership to two core pillars of the organization: Manufacturing Engineering & Lean Implementation and Artificial Intelligence, Automation & Robotics in order to move to next-generation industrial technologies and maximize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Manage and mentor two direct reports (Manager of Mfg Engineering/Lean and Manager of AI/Automation), ensuring their roadmaps are aligned with GE Vernova’s operational goals.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the deployment of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, driving waste reduction and process optimization across the production floor.
• Digital Transformation: Lead the integration of AI, machine learning, and advanced robotics to modernize manufacturing workflows and predictive maintenance capabilities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of capital projects and process improvements.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs related to cycle time, throughput, cost-to-serve, and automation ROI.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operational changes and automated systems adhere to rigorous safety standards and GE Vernova quality protocols.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems) or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing complex manufacturing environments.
• Deep expertise in Lean
• Demonstrated track record in successfully implementing automation, robotics, or industrial AI projects.
• Strong change management skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Fluency in English and Italian, in writing and speaking.

The pay range for this position: Between € 57,000.00 and € 85,200.00 gross per annum. The specific pay offered will consider the candidate’s education, qualifications, experience and skill set.

Stipendio Base: La retribuzione seguirà le tabelle salariali previste dal CCNL di categoria Chimico Farmaceutico

 

Base salary: The remuneration is established according to the Chimico Farmaceutico NCBA salary scale, which defines employment levels and minimum salary levels.

 

Pensione Integrativa (FONCHIM): Tutti i livelli sono eligibili
Contributo del datore di lavoro: 2,1%. Contributo del dipendente: 1,2%. Base di calcolo: retribuzione mensile lorda.

 

Pension Fund (Fonchim): All levels are eligible
Employer Contribution: 2.1%. Employee Contribution: 1.2%. Base: monthly gross salary.
