A Day in the Life
Lead the implementation of a new international laboratory, coordinating cross-functional activities with Regulatory Affairs and Design Engineering to assess and implement the required changes. The role will also perform microbiology laboratory activities as needed to support the successful implementation and operation of the new laboratory. Advanced English proficiency, strong project management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and effective stakeholder coordination are required.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Identifies and validates molecular targets that play a key role in a particular disease process.
- Studies origin, relationship, development, anatomy, functions, and chemical processes of living organisms; this may include studies in the growth, structure, and development of bacteria and other microorganisms.
- Conducts research to determine the effects of materials such as nutrients, drugs, serums, hormones, and other substances on tissues and vital processes of living organisms.
- Analyzes materials to determine their toxic or nontoxic properties, binding and efficacy.
- Isolates or purifies analyses, and identifies hormones, minerals, proteins, and/or cultures of microorganisms to determine their biological properties.
- Examines chemical aspects of formation of antibodies and conducts research into chemistry of cells and cell division.
- May identify and produce small quantities of new drugs, pharmaceutical compounds and/or nutrients.
TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
4 years of experience in microbiology
Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written), with the ability to interact effectively with global teams and participate in technical and regulatory meetings.
Proven experience in test method validation, including development, execution, data analysis, and technical documentation.
Knowledge and experience in the transfer of methods, equipment, and laboratory processes, ensuring efficient implementation in compliance with quality requirements.
Experience in the installation, qualification, and commissioning of laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
Solid knowledge of the preparation, review, and implementation of procedures, work instructions, and controlled laboratory documentation.
Knowledge of quality systems applicable to regulated laboratories and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying technical information, leading meetings, training personnel, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to lead projects, solve complex problems, and work effectively in dynamic, results-oriented environments.
