Description
We're looking for a deep-tech, hands-on Development Team Lead who loves developing software infrastructure and loves people, to join a company that creates the next generation of Big Data management layer, with the only solution that enables Data Engineers to build data lakes and pipelines with SQL code only, instead of using Spark, Python, or Java.

What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of engineers; support and mentor backend team members.
- Take an active role in hands-on tasks of design and development..
- Oversee backend-related tasks and assist team members as part of the team’s ongoing development.
- Design, implement, and improve solutions and workflows for the team, accelerating the team’s speed and efficiency.
- Participate in roadmap creation and tracking.
- Take a major part in our strategic growth as R&D team and be a part of the R&D management team.
- Report directly to VP Engineering and Product
What You bring
- At least 4 years experience in Backend development
- At least 2 years in an R&D management position
- Extensive knowledge in high-scale Backend technologies, architectural and design patterns
- Experience in working with cloud-based architectures and AWS specifically
- Experienced in planning and execution of complex projects in an agile environment
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Self-directed, ambitious, team player, and a strong communicator
- Experience working with complex database schemas
What else
- Experience with large scale performance challenges
- Experience with Continuous integration and deployment
- Good understanding of Agile concepts
- Fast paced customer facing environments - Advantage
- Experience with Working in a fast changing organization or growing startup
