What ContinuCare Pathway contributes to Cardinal Health
ContinuCare Pathway is a pharmacy-to-supplier referral program created by Cardinal Health to help retail pharmacies seamlessly refer patients to Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions. It simplifies the fulfillment and direct-to-patient home delivery of diabetes supplies (such as continuous glucose monitors) and navigates complex insurance requirements. The program is designed to reduce the administrative burden on retail pharmacists.
This Director will lead national business development efforts focused on prospecting and engaging targeted independent pharmacies and buying groups to build awareness and adoption of the ContinuCare Pathway CGM & BGM solution. The key priority of this Director is to position the organization as a trusted partner in diabetes care solutions.
Location - Fully remote (nationwide search), with up to 25-33% travel expected (generally once per month)
Resppnsibilities
- Prospect and engage targeted independent pharmacies and buying groups to build awareness and adoption of the ContinuCare Pathway CGM & BGM solution.
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive traction, expand market presence, and obtain new business within independent pharmacy segments.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy owners and buying group leaders, delivering compelling presentations and addressing product, contract, and implementation questions. - Identify, track, and report on newly contracted independent pharmacies resulting from sales, marketing, and outreach efforts.
- Lead and develop a support team to manage inside sales functions, including onboarding, implementation, testing, reporting, and individual pharmacy contracting.
- Respond promptly and effectively to inquiries from pharmacy customers via phone and email, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
- Create, manage, and distribute contracts, ensuring timely execution and follow-through with prospective and existing partners.
- Drive continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes, tools, and policies to enhance efficiency and scalability of the business.
- Demonstrate adaptability and leadership in navigating evolving processes, systems, and business priorities within a dynamic sales environment.
Qualifications
- Ideally targeting experienced sales professionals with 8+ years delivering in healthcare sales, business development, or account management (5+ years working with independent pharmacies, buying groups, or healthcare distribution channels) - highly preferred
- Proven track record of developing sales strategies and obtaining new business
- Experience in diabetes care (CGM, BGM) or related medical products, a plus
- Leadership experience, including managing teams or cross-functional support resources, a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, pivot tables)

Anticipated pay range: $194,300 - $277,600 (includes targeted variable pay)
