Manager Aircraft Maintenance

Cakum Global is recruiting a Manager – Aircraft Maintenance for our aviation client based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview

Lead the delivery of safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance operations for a growing regional airline. This leadership role is responsible for maximizing fleet availability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the MRO.

Key Highlights

• Lead all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with CASA PNG, Part 145 requirements, and company safety standards
• Drive aircraft reliability, fleet availability, and maintenance performance
• Manage engineering teams, workforce planning, and technical development
• Coordinate closely with Flight Operations, CAMG, Planning, Stores, and Engineering
• Oversee maintenance budgets, KPIs, and operational reporting
• Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Valid LAME Licence (or equivalent) highly regarded
• Minimum 10 years' aircraft maintenance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Experience with ATR, Dash-8, or other turboprop aircraft preferred
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, maintenance planning, and MRO operations
• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Able to thrive in a dynamic, safety-critical airline environment
