Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Superintendent – Deep Drilling with extensive drilling equipment maintenance experience for our client in Kuwait.
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Superintendent – Deep Drilling will oversee mechanical maintenance activities for deep drilling land rig operations, ensuring equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management:
- Supervise maintenance and repair activities for all rig mechanical systems.
- Develop maintenance strategies and schedules to maximize equipment availability.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are effectively executed.
Equipment Reliability:
- Lead troubleshooting and failure analysis activities.
- Coordinate major equipment overhauls and repairs.
- Ensure critical spare parts availability and inventory management.
- Support efforts to reduce non-productive time (NPT).
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company HSE standards and maintenance procedures.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Leadership:
- Supervise mechanical maintenance teams and contractors.
- Mentor and develop technical competencies within the team.
- Coordinate with Rig Managers, OEMs, and service providers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of drilling equipment maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Extensive experience supporting deep drilling land rigs (3000HP and above).
- Strong knowledge of drilling equipment maintenance and reliability practices.
- Experience using CMMS systems is preferred.
