As a Security Data Intern, you will support the Properties & Facilities Management division in analysing and reconciling visitorship data across multiple people-counting systems. Your work will directly contribute to improving the accuracy and reliability of data used to manage NLB's library spaces.
[What you will be working on]
- Develop a data verification framework to reconcile visitorship counts across multiple people-counting systems, including building data collection templates and defining data dictionaries to ensure consistency across all data sources
- Create dashboards or visualisation tools to present discrepancies and trends in a clear and accessible format for stakeholders
- Conduct comparative analyses to identify variances, investigate root causes of discrepancies, and document findings with supporting evidence
- Process and clean incoming datasets to remove duplicates, correct formatting errors, and handle missing values before analysis
- Maintain a structured data log to track historical counts and variance trends over time
- Compile processed outputs into regular reports summarising key findings, reconciliation results, and recommendations for improving data accuracy across the systems

- Open to students from all disciplines; students with a background in data analytics/ data science or statistics or any related fields in security are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Individuals with data analytics skill, security knowledge is a plus.
