SALARY (A-E Steps)
Staff Analyst I:
$27.43 - $33.35 Hourly / $2,194.40 - $2,668.00 Biweekly
Staff Analyst II:
$30.28 - $36.81 Hourly / $2,422.40 - $2,944.80 Biweekly
Ideal Candidate: The Tehama County Administration Department is looking for an organized, innovative and focused Staff Analyst. This position, under direction, will administer specified projects or programs and acts on behalf of the Chief Administrator in working with the Board of Supervisors, department heads, county, state and federal agencies and the public.
About the Position: This position will focus on risk management and insurance. Duties of this position will primarily include preparing and/or reviewing accident/loss reports, claims, insurance applications, questionnaires, and surveys, as well as perform other risk management duties as directed.
- Prepares agenda items and backup documentation for Administration, members of the Board, County Departments, members of the public and other agencies reviews backup documentation.
- Assists in the development of the annual, mid-year and other budget analyses at both the departmental and County-wide levels.
- Assists in the administration of the County's various Risk Management programs; prepares and/or reviews accident/loss reports, claims, insurance applications, questionnaires, and surveys; performs other Risk Management duties as directed.

Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a progressively responsible position within a fast paced administrative or executive office environment. Public Administration experience preferred.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
License & Special Requirements:
- A valid California Class C driver’s license or alternative form of transportation may be required for some positions at the time of appointment. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
