In this role, you will work with multiple geospatial data sources (e.g., OpenStreetMap, AGC, Overture) to produce standardized 2D datasets that feed into 3D terrain generation pipelines. These datasets directly support simulation, training, and mission planning environments. You will also take ownership of assigned geospatial databases—coordinating tasking, ensuring data quality, and supporting overall production efforts.

What You Can Expect

  • Ownership of key portions of geospatial production workflows
  • Opportunities to develop technical depth and coordination skills
  • Direct impact on high-visibility simulation and training environments
  • Ownership of key portions of geospatial production workflows within large-scale data pipelines

At Leidos, the opportunities are boundless. We inspire our staff with interesting assignments that allow them to thrive professionally and personally. For us, helping you grow your career is good business. We look forward to learning more about you – apply today!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate assigned geospatial databases and associated workflows
  • Perform advanced data cleaning, integration, and standardization using ArcGIS Pro
  • Validate and enforce data quality, consistency, and schema requirements
  • Coordinate tasking across team members supporting the database
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies across multiple sources
  • Ensure datasets meet requirements for downstream 3D environment generation
  • Provide status updates and communicate progress to team leadership
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to junior analysts as needed
  • Analyze and resolve data inconsistencies across multiple geospatial sources to ensure accuracy and usability

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant GIS experience
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
  • Strong proficiency with ArcGIS Pro (primary) or similar GIS platforms
  • Experience working with multi-source geospatial datasets (e.g., OSM or similar)
  • Understanding of data standardization, QA/QC, and production workflows
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating work across a team or supporting shared datasets
  • Python or scripting experience for workflow automation
  • Familiarity with 3D GIS, modeling, or simulation environments
  • Experience with scripting or automated geospatial data workflows
  • Familiarity with open-source GIS tools (e.g., QGIS)
