Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist – Day Shift (Farmington, NY)

$21–$24/hr • Full-Time • Full Benefits • Stable Day Schedule

Leonard’s Express is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-driven Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to help keep our cash flow strong and our customer accounts accurate. What You’ll Do

• Monitor A/R aging and follow up on past-due balances
• Contact customers by phone, email, and portal to drive timely payment
• Review customer portals for invoice receipt and payment status
• Research and resolve short pays, overpays, and account discrepancies
• Apply cash receipts (ACH, EDI, checks) accurately and on time
• Track unapplied cash and ensure all funds are properly assigned
• Document all account activity and communication
• Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes
• Escalate problem accounts or risks to the Supervisor

Requirements

What You Bring

• 1+ year of A/R, collections, or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management and follow-through
• Clear, professional communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and document thoroughly
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and repetitive task workflows
• High school diploma or equivalent
