Description
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Analyst to join the International Controller Change team, working as part of an Agile Scrum focused on delivering strategic regulatory reporting, regulatory technology and digitalisation initiatives across the International Controllers organisation.
This role combines traditional business analysis and change delivery responsibilities with the hands-on delivery of digital solutions. Working within the Change team and alongside BAU regulatory reporting teams and technology teams, you will support delivery of regulatory reporting capabilities aligned to the strategic Axiom platform, together with solutions using technologies such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform and emerging AI-enabled tools.
The role offers exposure to regulatory change, platform modernisation, data transformation, reporting automation and operational efficiency initiatives. You will contribute to a diverse book of work that may include strategic Axiom enhancements, digital workflow solutions, process automation, reporting improvements and broader technology-enabled change supporting the International Controllers organisation. You will also identify ad hoc opportunities for digitalisation and help translate suitable opportunities into prioritised Scrum backlog items.
In this role, you will:

- Work under the direction of the Product Owner as a member of an Agile Scrum team delivering regulatory reporting, regulatory technology and digitalisation initiatives.
- Support delivery of prioritised backlog items through requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, testing and implementation activities.
- Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, process flows, business rules, data requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Work with BAU regulatory reporting teams and technology teams to refine requirements and support solution design and delivery.
- Analyse current-state and target-state processes, data flows, reporting impacts and operational requirements.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, business validation and sign-off activities.
- Produce clear, traceable and audit-ready documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support implementation readiness, release activities and post-production stabilisation.
- Digitalisation & Solution Delivery
- Deliver digitalisation and automation solutions as part of the Scrum backlog using approved strategic technologies.
- Design, build, test and implement solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and approved AI-enabled technologies.
- Translate defined business and process requirements into practical digital solutions that improve reporting outcomes, reduce manual activity and increase process efficiency.
- Develop workflows, dashboards, applications, automations and data preparation solutions appropriate to the agreed delivery need.
- Create the user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, technical documentation and user guidance required to support digital delivery.
- Complete testing, defect remediation, release preparation and post-production support for digital solutions delivered by the Scrum team.
- Enhance and maintain existing digital solutions where these form part of the team backlog.
- Identify ad hoc digitalisation opportunities, assess their suitability and support their prioritisation and delivery through the Scrum backlog.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Reporting, banking change or an equivalent controlled delivery environment, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience or education.
- Business Analyst or change delivery experience, including requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, testing and implementation support.
- Experience working within an Agile Scrum delivery model and producing epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience using digital or data tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, SQL or comparable technologies to deliver business solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand processes, data and reporting requirements.
- Ability to create clear, structured and traceable process, requirements and testing documentation.
- Strong organisational and delivery skills, with the ability to manage assigned work against sprint commitments and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, follow Product Owner direction, exercise sound judgement and raise delivery risks or issues promptly.
