Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Coordination in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, monitor assigned areas, and provide welcoming, professional service to residents and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a positive community experience. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and departure records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other security-related observations according to site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
