What you'll do:
Working closely with the management team, you'll support the leadership and development of the team, help deliver an exceptional customer experience and contribute to strong store performance. Yankee Candle is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Supervisor who can bring the brand to life through outstanding customer service, engaging product storytelling and a passion for retail. You'll lead by example on the shop floor, support the day-to-day running of the store and help motivate the team to deliver sales targets and maintain brilliant retail standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Lead and support the team
Support the Management team in motivating, coaching and developing a confident, customer-focused team.
Lead by example on the shop floor, helping the team deliver their best, especially during busy trading periods.
Help create a positive, inclusive working environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Support the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring the team stays focused, organised and motivated.
Create exceptional customer experiences
Bring the Yankee Candle brand to life through outstanding customer service and engaging product storytelling.
Lead by example in building genuine customer connections and creating memorable shopping experiences.
Help develop the team's product knowledge, encouraging confidence when recommending fragrances and products.
Support the team in maintaining high standards of presentation, service and store experience.
Support commercial performance
Work alongside the Management team to achieve sales targets and deliver strong store performance.
Monitor sales results and help identify opportunities to improve performance.
Encourage the team to maximise sales through product recommendations, cross-selling and excellent customer engagement.
Take initiative in resolving challenges and supporting the achievement of store objectives.
What we're looking for
Previous retail experience, ideally with experience supporting or guiding a team.
A natural team leader who enjoys motivating others and leading by example.
Confident communication skills and a willingness to coach and support colleagues.
Commercially aware, with an understanding of sales targets and the importance of delivering results.
Positive, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
A collaborative team player who is keen to learn, develop and grow their leadership skills.
