Purpose of the position

The FP&A Controller plays a key role in supporting business performance through effective financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis. Acting as a trusted partner to key stakeholders/department, the role provides meaningful insights, identifies and addresses risk and opportunities, and supports management in making sound, data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities and duties

Financial Planning & Forecasting

·         Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.

·         Translating the financial impact of business decisions

·         Support scenario planning and simulations to facilitate business decisions.

·         Monitor performance versus Budget/Forecast and identify key variances, risks and opportunities.

Performance Management & Reporting

·         Prepare and analyse monthly financial performance, including P&L, KPIs and key business drivers.

·         Develop management reports and presentations to support leadership decision-making.

·         Ensure high-quality and timely financial reporting.

Teaming up

·         Working together with key stakeholders/departments to interpret financial data for planning purposes

·         Support business teams in understanding the financial impact of key decisions.

·         Challenging status quo and seeking creative solutions to persistent problems

·         Support business cases, investment decisions and profitability analysis.

Controlling & Financial Excellence

·         Ensure strong financial discipline and compliance with internal processes and guidelines.

·         Support month-end closing activities in collaboration with accounting.

·         Monitor costs, investments and profitability to ensure alignment with business objectives.

·         Drive automation and simplification of financial reporting and analysis to the possible extent.

 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Controlling, Financial Analysis or Business Finance, preferably within a multinational/FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/reporting and BI tools is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Greek.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
