Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Vehicle Operations in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, manage access, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a utility operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate observed hazards, infrastructure concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
