Responsibilities

The Opportunity

 

This role will lead the Transportation Data, Analytics, Performance and Data Governance agenda for the Americas Transportation Control Tower within the Global Capability Center S&T Organization. The position will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for Transportation Master Data, Business Insights, Analytics, KPI Performance and Data Governance.

 

This role will transform transportation data into actionable insights and digital solutions that improve cost, service, productivity and operational performance. It will combine strong transportation business knowledge with Data & Analytics leadership, leveraging Power BI, Python, Databricks, and AI to accelerate decision-making, automation and continuous improvement.

 

 

Your Impact

 

As Global Transportation - Control & Performance Americas MCC your scope would consist of…

• Lead the Transportation Data & Analytics strategy across MCC & Americas.
• Lead and develop the team responsible for Master Data, Business Insights, Analytics, KPI Reporting and Data Governance.
• Own the Transportation Control Tower KPI and performance management framework, ensuring consistent definitions, targets, ownership and measurement across markets and global standards
• Lead advanced analytics focused on transportation cost, service, productivity, carrier performance and operational efficiency.
• Design, develop and continuously improve dashboards and analytical solutions using Power BI, Python, Databricks and modern analytics platforms.
• Contribute to Global AI initiatives to automate insights, improve decision-making and enable conversational and self-service analytics.
• Own the Transportation Data Governance and Data Quality agenda, including Master Data Management, data stewardship and KPI certification.
• Translate analytical findings into quantified recommendations and a prioritized pipeline of cost reduction, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Transportation Operations, Procurement, Finance, Digital, Data, IT and Business Units to deliver scalable solutions and measurable business value.

 

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For? 

 

• Experience leading Transportation, Supply Chain, Control Tower, Data & Analytics or Performance Management capabilities.

• People management experience, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across Master Data, Insights, Analytics and Data Governance.

• Experience working across multiple countries, markets, cultures and time zones.

• Proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and measurable improvements in cost, service and productivity.

   

• Fluent English required.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation and data storytelling skills.

   

• Strong transportation business knowledge, including planning, freight procurement, carrier performance, shipment execution, freight settlement, cost and productivity.

   

• Strong experience with Power BI and practical knowledge of Python for analytics, automation and data processing.

   

• Experience with modern data platforms, preferably Databricks

   

• Preferable Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems, preferably Blue Yonder TMS and SAP.

   

• Preferable experience applying AI, Generative AI, automation and self-service analytics to business problems.
