Description
Job Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Linux server environments across production, UAT, and development platforms.
- Perform system installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of Linux servers.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and security to ensure stable operations.
- Troubleshoot system and infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Support infrastructure projects, system migrations, platform upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Collaborate with application, network, database, and security teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
- Participate in incident management, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- Provide production support and participate in on-call rotation when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in Linux Infrastructure, System Administration, or Platform Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Linux Server Administration, Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell), Python Automation, VMware or Virtualization Technologies, and Server Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, storage technologies, and high-availability environments.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is an advantage.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
- Experience supporting banking or financial services environments is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
- RHCSA, RHCE, or other relevant Linux certifications will be an advantage.
