Accounts Receivable Specialist

Transwest is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to maintain exceptional customer relationships, post payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on delinquent accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage customer accounts and provide excellent customer service.
• Accept and post payments across 2 separate ERP systems.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices and delinquent accounts.
• Resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate and resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, etc.
• Post and reconcile daily cash transactions.
• Post journal entries.
• Clean and maintain accounting schedules.
• Send customer statements.
• Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Provide support to other Transwest team members.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

• Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged
• periods of time.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate by providing verbal / written feedback in a professional manner.
• Ability to receive and analyze data and input into a computer.
• Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Ability to multitask.
• Strong organization skills.
• Strong data entry and math skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Accounting degree.
• Knowledge of Karmak/CDK or dealership experience is a plus.

JOB DETAILS:

• Type: Hourly
• Compensation Range: $24.00 - $27.00
• Reports To: AR Supervisor
• Closing Date: Open until filled.
