Job Description:

Summary:

This position provides front-line technology support and services on-site or via phone or email for classes and events. This includes on-site troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of multimedia audiovisual equipment and systems in technology-enhanced classrooms and event spaces. This position trains faculty, staff, and students in the use of classroom technologies, assists senior AV staff in maintaining and troubleshooting audio video equipment and systems, and provides technical support training in the use and maintenance of new equipment and technologies. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Classroom technology support.

  • Live event support.

  • Equipment maintenance and repair.

  • Support Hybrid, Hy-Flex and Zoom Room systems for classes and events.

  • Training on Instructional Technology.

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

  • Part-time.

  • 10 - 15 hours per week.

 

Salary Range:

  • $18.40 per hour.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • Must be a current AU Student.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

  • Punctuality and dependability.

  • Ability to learn new information and skills quickly.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to adapt to changing service needs, conditions, and work responsibilities.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Customer service experience.

  • Previous experience in AV classroom or event support in high pressure situations.
