Overview
The AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure Business is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Riyadh office as a Senior Utility Engineer (Electrical). The Engineer will support multidisciplinary infrastructure and transportation projects across the GCC, including the planning, design review, supervision, and coordination of electrical utility networks comprising MV/LV power distribution systems, substations, street lighting, telecommunications, ICT, security systems, and utility diversions associated with major road and bridge infrastructure projects.
Your role
- Provide technical leadership and support on large multidisciplinary infrastructure and bridge projects.
- Review and supervise electrical utility designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate utility interfaces with bridge, road, and transportation infrastructure works.
- Monitor and report on project performance, progress, quality, and technical compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture across project teams.
- Manage and coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Provide technical expertise on power distribution networks, substations, street lighting, ICT, and utility relocations.
- Support project budgeting, design reviews, construction supervision, and delivery from concept through completion.
About you
- B.Sc. or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in electrical utility engineering, Bridges projects, and construction supervision.
- Proven experience in the design, coordination, and supervision of MV/LV networks, substations, street lighting, ICT, and telecommunications systems.
- Mandatory experience on major bridge and transportation infrastructure projects, including utility coordination and interface management.
- Strong knowledge of international standards, utility authority requirements, and construction practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Dialux, Revit/BIM, and other engineering design software.
- Ability to review technical documentation, manage multidisciplinary interfaces, and lead project teams effectively.
