Job Description 

Partner Activation and Acceleration Team (PAAT) | P&A Strategy & Operations 

 

The Director, Partner Activation & Acceleration (PAAT) is a people leader within the Partnerships & Alliances Strategy & Operations organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, PAAT, this role is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of the Partner Activation & Acceleration Team, managing regional Specialist resources, and helping scale Thomson Reuters’ partner ecosystem through stronger orchestration, activation, governance, and operational discipline. 

You and your team will be pivotal in reducing onboarding and activation time and improving time-to-revenue for both partners and TR across global segments, including Legal Professionals, Tax, Audit and Accounting Professionals, Corporates, and Government. You will execute and continuously improve the mechanisms and frameworks that accelerate partner sales, directly supporting TR's goal of a 3x increase in P&A sales contribution by 2028. 

 This role requires a leader who can manage execution while also helping identify recurring friction, elevate business needs, and advocate for scalable solutions across processes, policies, commercial models, contracting standards, and tooling, while managing partnerships and building go-to-market strategies for growth.  

About the Role 

In this opportunity as Director, Partner Activation & Acceleration, you will: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Partner Activation & Acceleration Specialists across regional markets, including EMEA-based Specialist resources 

  • Responsible for managing the global team ensuring they bring on new partnerships and develop strong working relationships with contributing clients 

  • Work with internal groups and partners toward mutual goals and objectives to support and scale the overall strategic benefits of the alliance  

  • Ensure partners progress from approval through operational readiness, activation milestones, first-deal readiness, and early revenue generation. 

  • Monitor partner readiness, onboarding SLAs, activation milestones, time-to-value, and early productivity signals 

  • Help build and operationalize PAAT playbooks, SOPs, activation frameworks, governance mechanisms, and team operating procedures. 

  • Establish and maintain team-level reporting on time-to-activation, time-to-first revenue, SLA adherence, partner readiness, partner productivity, and process efficiency. 

  • Use data and qualitative insights to identify trends, improve operating performance, and inform recommendations to PAAT and S&O leadership. 

  • Support leadership updates, operating reviews, and executive-ready narratives related to activation performance and partner operating model maturity. 

About You 

You are a fit for the role of Director, Partner Activation & Acceleration if your background includes: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred. 

  • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, alliances, partner operations, partner management, business development, strategy & operations, consulting, or related functions. 

  • 3+ years of cross-functional team programs, including mentoring, developing, and managing high-performing teams. 

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed, global organizations. 

  • Track record of building scalable processes, governance models, operating rhythms, or business transformation programs.
