The Role
As an Experienced Engineer – Roads & Highways, you will play a key role in delivering a broad range of transport infrastructure projects throughout North Queensland and across the wider region. Working closely with senior technical leaders, you'll contribute to the planning, design and delivery of road, highway and civil infrastructure projects while continuing to develop your technical and project delivery capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver road and highway design solutions across all project phases.
- Prepare engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and coordinated project outcomes.
- Support project delivery to budget, programme and quality requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposal preparation and business development activities.
- Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and technical excellence.
About You
You are an experienced civil engineer with a passion for delivering transport infrastructure projects and developing practical engineering solutions. You enjoy working collaboratively and are committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and communities.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 4-6 years’ experience in roads, highways and transport infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing designs, calculations and technical reports.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- An understanding of Austroads, TMR and relevant Australian standards.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
