Job Title: Roofing Crew Team Lead
Department: Operations
Reports to: Directory of Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $$65-70k + Bonuses with benefits based on experience

Job Summary
The Roofing Crew Team Lead is responsible for leading a crew in the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation and repair of residential roofing systems, including asphalt shingles and gutter systems. This position ensures projects are completed on time, meet company quality standards, and provide excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a roofing crew on residential job sites.
  • Install, repair, and inspect asphalt shingle roofs and gutter systems.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes.
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate with project managers and homeowners regarding project progress and any issues.
  • Verify materials, equipment, and tools are available and used properly.
  • Complete projects on schedule while maintaining quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in residential roofing, including shingle installation and gutter systems.
  • Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read work orders and follow project specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate company truck and tow a dump trailer
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work comfortably at heights in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Ability to Work at Heights: Comfort and excellent balance are crucial when working on steep slopes and great heights to avoid falls.
  • Manual Dexterity: Precision in handling and installing materials to prevent damage and ensure a quality, waterproof finish.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work with the installation team to accomplish all tasks in a timely manner.
