Assistant Store Team Lead

Description

The Assistant Store Team Leader supports the overall performance of the store by helping lead daily operations, team execution, and customer experience. 

This role works closely with the Store Team Leader to ensure consistency across departments, reinforce operational standards, and support team development. You will play a key role in maintaining a well run, organized, and customer ready store environment. 

What You Will Do 

• Support day to day store operations across all departments, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and execution of standards 
• Partner with the Store Team Leader to reinforce priorities, communicate expectations, and support store performance 
• Provide leadership presence on the floor, helping guide team members and respond to operational needs in real time 
• Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of team members across departments 
• Monitor and support labor, productivity, and daily workflow to ensure strong store execution 
• Help ensure merchandising, stocking, and store conditions meet expectations and support a positive shopping experience 
• Address customer needs and concerns with professionalism, helping ensure a welcoming and responsive environment 
• Identify operational gaps and support solutions that improve consistency and performance

• Team members feel supported through clear communication, coaching, and visible leadership.  
• Operational priorities are executed consistently, from merchandising and labor to safety and daily store readiness.

• You strengthen the Store Team Leader by taking ownership of key operational priorities and helping improve performance in the areas you lead.  
• Your leadership contributes to a store where accountability, consistency, and teamwork remain strong regardless of who is leading the shift. 

What You’ll Bring 

• 3 to 5 years of retail, grocery, or customer facing leadership experience 
• Strong communication and ability to lead in a fast paced environment 
• Experience supporting or leading teams, including coaching and delegation 
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and adapt to changing needs throughout the day 
• Comfort working across multiple departments and balancing competing priorities 
• Alignment with cooperative values and a commitment to teamwork and accountability
