Key Responsibilities

Technical Advisory

  • Oversee the monitoring of developments related to audit, assurance, and other related professional services, including updates to relevant methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Lead the dissemination of relevant technical and practice developments across the organization by preparing technical memoranda, alerts, reminders, and developing local guidance, templates, and tools.
  • Review technical memoranda, guidance materials, and other communications prior to release.
  • Ensure that the required review and approval process has been properly followed before the issuance of technical communications.
  • Assess the completeness, accuracy, and technical soundness of draft guidance and communications.

Technical Consultation

  • Provide technical consultation and respond to complex inquiries related to audit, assurance, and other related professional services.
  • Oversee and mentor team members in managing technical consultations and resolving complex issues.
  • Review technical responses, memoranda, and other deliverables prepared by team members.

Financial Statements Quality Control Review (FSQCR)

  • Perform Financial Statements Quality Control Reviews (FSQCR) to ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting frameworks, presentation and disclosure requirements, and relevant auditing standards.
  • Review auditors' reports to ensure compliance with applicable auditing standards and regulatory requirements.

Training and Learning & Development

  • Serve as a facilitator or trainer for technical training programs related to audit, assurance, and other related professional services, including applicable standards and practice guidance.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members in delivering technical training sessions.
  • Oversee the localization and adoption of global or organizational training materials to align with local regulatory and professional requirements.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of local technical training materials.
  • Coordinate technical learning initiatives with the Learning and Development team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in one or a combination of the following:
    • Managerial role in external/public audit.
    • Technical role in audit quality, audit methodology, audit support, or audit risk management.
  • Experience in preparing technical guidance, internal communications, and formal documentation related to auditing standards (e.g., ISA/PSA or equivalent).
  • Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
