Why Join
Imagine being part of a team that helps businesses grow and thrive by providing them with the right financing solutions. As a Debt Capital Markets Specialist at OCBC, you'll play a key role in advising clients on debt financing options and executing deals that meet their needs. It's a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of the markets and a passion for building relationships.

How you succeed
You will be a specialist in Debt Capital Markets, working with Team Leaders on originating, structuring and executing debt capital market transactions for corporates and financial institutions across both conventional and digital issuance channels. The role spans traditional debt financing activities as well as digital capital markets initiatives, including tokenized bonds, digital securities, distributed ledger technology (DLT)-enabled platforms and emerging market infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong capital markets and analytical skills, with a keen interest in leveraging digital technologies, artificial intelligence and automation to shape the future of capital markets.

What you do

- Conduct fundamental and credit analysis on Corporates and Financial Institutions, including modelling of balance sheets and cash flows to support debt financing solutions.

- Support Team Leaders in the origination, structuring and marketing of fixed income solutions through idea generation, market updates and client pitch materials.

- Assist in the execution of debt capital market transactions, including internal approvals, transaction documentation and stakeholder coordination.

- Support syndication, bookbuilding, investor marketing activities and the organisation of investor meetings and roadshows.

- Monitor market developments, issuance activity, investor trends and comparable transactions.

- Support the development and execution of digital capital markets initiatives and transactions, including tokenized bonds, digital securities and DLT-enabled issuance platforms.

- Analyse developments in digital finance, tokenisation, digital asset infrastructure and relevant regulatory frameworks.

- Support the adoption of AI-powered tools and digital solutions to enhance market intelligence, workflow automation, content generation and transaction execution.

- Participate in strategic initiatives that advance the Bank’s digital capital markets and innovation agenda.

Who you are

  • University degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.

  • Ideally 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking, capital markets or financial services.

  • Good understanding of debt capital markets, fixed income products and corporate financing concepts.

  • Strong interest in Digital Capital Markets, tokenization, digital securities and emerging financial technologies.

  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), workflow automation, data analytics or digital productivity tools would be advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Bloomberg would be advantageous.

  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
