The role involves structural analysis, engineering calculations, design verification, and technical coordination to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant engineering deliverables in line with project specifications and applicable offshore standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform structural analysis and engineering design of offshore structures, including fixed platforms, topsides, jackets, modules, and associated steel structures.
- Carry out structural calculations, load assessments, code checks, and design verification in accordance with applicable project specifications and standards.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, engineering reports, design documentation, and technical specifications.
- Use structural analysis software such as SACS, SESAM, STAAD Pro, or equivalent tools to perform structural analysis and assessments.
- Review and validate structural 3D models, design layouts, and engineering deliverables developed using S3D (Smart 3D), TEKLA, E3D, PDMS, or equivalent software, as applicable to the project.
- Evaluate structural loads, equipment loads, environmental loads, and other engineering inputs required for offshore structural design.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other disciplines to establish design requirements, load inputs, and interface requirements.
- Review structural drawings, calculations, design deliverables, and technical documents prepared by structural designers.
- Support the preparation and review of Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical requisitions as required.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, engineering workshops, and technical meetings to resolve structural engineering issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable offshore structural codes and standards, including API RP 2A, AISC, ISO 19902, and DNV.
