Are you a subject matter expert in the field of cyber security? Are you an experienced strategist and partnership builder with a passion for cyber security technologies? Would you like to help prevent disruptions in critical infrastructures that protect our economy and society as a whole through groundbreaking R&D&I projects? Then read on! As a principal cyber security engineer, you will be a sparring partner for the programme manager on the strategy of the cyber security programme within Sirris. As a driver of cyber security innovation, you will keep your finger on the pulse when it comes to (future) business needs in the field of digital security. You define the project portfolio and draw up case studies that contribute to the innovation needs of the industry in the field of product security (software products or IoT products) and the integration of operational technologies in, for example, the manufacturing industry. You actively lobby both existing and new partners to set up joint R&D initiatives. You supervise a team of 2-4 (Senior) Cyber Security Engineers. You take on the technical leadership for R&D projects, supervising the development of secure, advanced cyber solutions for critical systems. As an inspiring speaker at relevant technology conferences and/or events, you will share your knowledge with the audience and generate visibility for the Cyber Security team. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong relationships of trust with customers, identifying new business opportunities and selling the development of solutions. Project management and, above all, relationship management are central to this position. You will be in contact with government agencies, industry associations, universities, customers and internal colleagues in various teams.
