At Swissport Cargo at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, we are looking for an Air Cargo Warehouse Team Leader who will help coordinate daily warehouse activities and ensure that air freight is handled safely, efficiently and on time.
In this role, you will work alongside your team on the warehouse floor while supervising daily operations. Together, you ensure that import and export shipments are processed according to schedule.

What will you do?
As an Air Cargo Warehouse Team Leader, you are responsible for supervising the warehouse team during your shift while actively participating in the operational work.
You ensure that all activities are performed safely, efficiently and in line with operational planning.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting warehouse staff during your shift
Coordinating the handling of import and export air cargo
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and quality standards
Monitoring the progress of operational activities
Setting priorities for time-critical cargo shipments
Liaising with the Duty Manager and Cargo Office
Training and onboarding new employees
Checking the quality and completion of work performed by your team
Ensuring a safe and organised warehouse environment
In this role you combine hands-on operational work with team leadership, directly contributing to the success of the cargo operation.
Working hours
The cargo operation at Schiphol runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, you will work within a flexible shift schedule, including:
morning shifts
afternoon shifts
night shifts
weekend shifts
This variety ensures a dynamic working environment where no two weeks are the same.
What do you bring?
We are looking for someone who feels comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and who has experience supervising a team.
You also have:
MBO+ level of education or equivalent working experience
At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
Experience leading or coordinating a team
Experience in air cargo or logistics is a strong advantage
Good command of the Dutch language
Basic knowledge of English
Willingness to work in shift patterns
