The Department of History & Classical Studies is searching for an eligible candidate as a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term.

Applicant must be a student registered in a McGill MA or PhD graduate program in the Fall 2026 term.

The Teaching Assistant is required to be on campus to perform their tasks in person and attend all lectures.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include hosting and facilitating discussions on Zoom with small groups of students; grading exams and term papers; attending lectures and reading course materials; communicating with students regarding MyCourses, submission of assignments, etc.


Qualifications:

The position is only available to a McGill graduate student with an appropriate academic background. Previous study in the subject of the course.

HIST 214: Early Modern Europe, Soroka, 1 position (150 hours)

Hourly Salary: $38.46

Total Hours of Work per Term: 150

Position Start Date: 01/09/2026

Position End Date:  05/01/2027
