Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Salary, Based on experience
Shift(s): 1st (5 AM - 3:30PM); 4 Day work week, Monday - Thursday

Job Overview: A supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing or production facility. They manage production staff, ensure that production schedules are met, and maintain quality control standards. Supervisors monitor workflow, resolve any issues that arise during production, and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. They also coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality assurance, to ensure efficient and effective production processes. Their role is essential in achieving productivity goals and maintaining high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, ensuring smooth hand-offs and workflow between each area
- Set up, run, and troubleshoot jobs to produce high-quality machined, formed, and welded parts
- Plan and prioritize production schedules across departments to meet customer delivery dates and balance capacity
- Monitor employee performance and coach team members toward growth and peak performance
- Encourage and facilitate strong communication between work areas and across shifts
- Apply strong working knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality requirements, industrial engineering, and tool engineering across sheet metal fabrication and welding processes
- Partner with Quality Assurance to identify root causes of defects and drive corrective actions across departments
- Partner with Maintenance to minimize downtime on machines
- Follow safe work practices and hold others accountable to the same standard
- Conduct or assign employee training on equipment operation, changeovers, and safety procedures
- Monitor material flow and staging between departments to prevent bottlenecks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce scrap, and improve safety
- Perform other tasks as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience, manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes such as press brake forming, laser cutting, turret punching, or spot welding strongly preferred
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple departments and shifts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to a clean, safe, lean work environment
- Strong punctuality and attendance
- Sharp problem-solving skills and sound judgment under pressure
- Comfort reading blueprints, work orders, and travelers across multiple process types
