The Company
Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.
Meet the Team:
Join our Finance Team as Finance Manager, Japan. This role combines controllership, statutory compliance, payroll oversight, stakeholder support and cross-cultural coordination. You will support Japan finance and accounting activities, accurate reporting under US GAAP and local statutory requirements, and practical finance support across employees, HR, regional finance and business partners. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can balance technical finance capability with coordination, problem-solving and clear communication across English and Japanese-speaking stakeholder groups.
Where You Come In:
- Lead Japan finance operations and reporting, including month-end close oversight, revenue reconciliations, accruals, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, balance sheet oversight and flux analysis.
- Represent Finance in revenue reporting and commercial rebate arrangements, including reviewing revenue estimates, assessing the financial and operational implications of rebate structures, identifying potential revenue adjustments, and providing finance input on contract terms, amendments and transitions from legacy agreements.
- Partner with Commercial, Legal and FP&A teams to help ensure rebate programs, pricing arrangements and customer agreements are operationally practical, appropriately controlled, and capable of being accurately administered by the offshore accounting team.
- Support Japan tax, statutory and regulatory compliance by working with regional tax teams, external advisers, auditors and regulatory authorities on corporate tax, withholding tax, consumption tax, statutory reporting, tax documentation, HCP payment documentation, indirect tax reporting and other compliance obligations.
- Support audit, controls and process improvement, including internal and external audit requests, financial controls, company policy compliance, local statutory alignment, corporate standards and year-end stocktake oversight.
- Partner with HR on employee finance enquiries, resolving finance-related questions, clarifying process requirements and bridging communication between English-speaking teams and Japanese-speaking employees or stakeholders.
- Build Japan finance capability by overseeing the offshore finance teams supporting Japan, including general accounting, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable; setting priorities, reviewing outputs, resolving escalations, monitoring service delivery and driving process and control improvements.
What Makes You Successful:
- You have a solid accounting foundation and can apply US GAAP, Japan statutory requirements and company policies in a practical, business-focused way.
- You communicate clearly in English and Japanese and can explain accounting, payroll, tax and process matters to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- You are a practical coordinator and problem-solver who can work across local employees, HR, offshore teams, advisers, auditors, commercial stakeholders and regional or global finance.
- You bring commercial awareness and can support revenue reporting, rebate arrangements and the financial and operational aspects of customer contracts while keeping finance processes accurate, practical and well controlled.
- You are comfortable balancing multiple priorities and improving ways of working across local, regional and offshore teams.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with typically 6–8 years of relevant finance, accounting or controllership experience.

- Experience overseeing or coordinating work across local, regional and offshore teams, including reviewing outputs, resolving issues and improving service delivery.
- Exposure to statutory reporting, tax, payroll coordination, revenue reporting, rebates or commercial finance activities would be highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of Japan statutory, tax or payroll-related requirements, or the ability to coordinate effectively with local advisers and service providers.
- Strong English and Japanese communication skills.
